Bowman Plaza is set to redefine the skyline of Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Located on Fish Hatchery Road, this luxury multi-family community will bring 270 thoughtfully designed residences — ranging from studios to spacious three-bedroom spaces.
The development will also include approximately 10,000 square feet of prime commercial space along Fish Hatchery Road. Rising above the city as Fitchburg’s tallest building, Bowman Plaza will feature two levels of parking topped by five floors of modern timber construction. Upon completion, it will stand as Ragtag Ventures’ largest project to date, a landmark project that blends scale, sustainability, and sophisticated design in one premier destination.
Bowman Plaza is the result of years of thoughtful coordination, careful planning, and true collaboration. What began as a complex site with multiple easements, overlapping uses, and neighboring stakeholders has evolved into a landmark project shaped by partnership and persistence.
From the start, our team worked closely with the City of Fitchburg, Kelley’s Market, and City on a Hill Church to ensure the project would be a success for everyone involved. Together, we navigated utility realignments, traffic flow redesigns, and shared parking solutions. One of the most meaningful aspects of this process was working with City on a Hill Church to create a new parking lot that supports their congregation while also integrating with the future needs of Bowman Plaza. We have also supported the redevelopment of the church building, helping them to achieve their mission of engagement with the community.
Every design decision was made with intention; from reimagining the two levels of parking to ensure efficient traffic flow, to planning a development that complements its neighbors and strengthens the community. Bowman Plaza stands as a testament to collaboration, resilience, and the belief that the most challenging projects often produce the most rewarding outcomes.
